This chapter provides an overview of the publication Primary health care for Resilient Health Systems in Latin America, as well summarising main findings. The starts by recalling socio‑economic context LAC‑7 countries which amplified challenge COVID‑19 pandemic. second section shows that performance primary is still insufficient across with regards to primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. third focuses on role played blunt impact countries, while showing access routine was fundamentally impacted. last identifies policy levers improve preparedness resilience during crises through stronger care, notably enhancing comprehensiveness workforce investment planning, information infrastructure.
